2026 Salary Range: $125,776 - $192,331 (Yearly, including locality)

This position will serve as a 1st level supervisor Chemist, managing the physical science laboratories at Robins AFB.

- Exercise 1st level technical and administrative supervisory management responsibilities 25% or more of duty time.

- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the unit.

- Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

- Actively pursues organizational quality programs, goals, and objectives in all activities.

Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related technical field. Knowledge of and experience in chemical analyses performed in support of the overhaul, repair and tests of aerospace systems, processes and components is highly desired.

- Occasional travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

- Work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

- Position covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).

KSA's:

1. Knowledge of chemical principles, theories, practices, and methodologies applicable to a wide range of duties sufficient to serve as a specialist in organic, inorganic, and analytical instrumental methods of analysis.

2. Knowledge of administrative and resource policies, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

4. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.

5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with others in a courteous, tactful, and diplomatic manner to gain cooperation in achieving goals.

6. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration and resolution of the issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
