Job Description

About Osmose

Osmose is a market-leading provider of utility infrastructure solutions, helping electric utilities enhance reliability, reduce risk, and extend asset life. We combine deep field expertise with advanced analytics, software platforms, and engineering services to solve some of the most critical challenges facing the energy and utility industry.

As utilities face increasing pressure from aging infrastructure, extreme weather, and regulatory demands, Osmose is at the forefront of delivering data-driven, capital-efficient solutions that improve resilience and long-term performance.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-performing MBA intern to join our Solutions Consulting organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leaders on high-impact strategic initiatives that shape how utilities invest billions of dollars in infrastructure.

You will contribute to the development of analytical models, go-to-market strategies, and investment frameworks that directly influence customer decisions and Osmose’s growth.

This is not a typical internship. You will operate as a strategy consultant within the business, working on real-world problems with measurable outcomes.

What You’ll Work On

As part of the Solutions Consulting team, you will support several high-priority initiatives, including:

  • Risk Optimization Modeling
    • Develop and refine models that help utilities prioritize infrastructure investments based on risk, cost, and reliability outcomes
    • Translate engineering and inspection data into actionable financial and operational insights
  • Capitalization Strategy Development
    • Support the design of utility capital programs that shift spend from reactive replacement to proactive life extension
    • Build business cases demonstrating ROI, cost avoidance, and long-term asset value
  • Market Analysis & Segmentation
    • Conduct detailed PAM, TAM, and SAM analyses for key solution areas
    • Identify growth opportunities across utility segments, geographies, and service lines
    • Support strategic planning and investment prioritization
  • Mid-Term Strategic Planning
    • Play a key role in supporting Osmose’s annual mid-term strategic review, including market insights, growth opportunity identification, and strategic initiative development
    • Partner with cross-functional leaders to synthesize inputs into clear strategic recommendations
  • Go-to-Market & Commercial Strategy
    • Help shape value propositions and messaging for complex technical solutions
    • Support development of sales enablement tools, including ROI calculators and executive-level presentations
  • Executive-Level Insights
    • Synthesize findings into clear, compelling recommendations for senior leadership
    • Contribute to board-level and executive presentations

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for candidates who combine analytical rigor with strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program
  • 3–5+ years of prior professional experience (consulting, finance, engineering, strategy, or related fields preferred)

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel, financial modeling, or data analysis)
  • Experience with market sizing (TAM/SAM/PAM), strategy projects, or consulting frameworks
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop clear, actionable insights
  • Interest in infrastructure, energy, utilities, or industrial technology
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into executive-ready materials

What You’ll Gain

  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Hands-on experience solving complex, real-world problems in a critical industry
  • Opportunity to contribute to the company’score strategic planning process
  • Experience building work that influences multi-million and billion-dollar investment decisions
  • A strong foundation in applied strategy, analytics, and solutions consulting
