HOT HOT HOT – Solution Architect (Enterprise Architecture) – ACT FAST

Location: Evanston, IL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite: Monday & Wednesday)

Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Solution Architect to join a growing Enterprise Architecture team within a highly respected organization. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role focused on elevating development governance, driving architectural consistency, and bridging business strategy with technical execution.

This is not a hands-on development role —it’s ideal for someone who has grown from development into architecture and thrives in influencing, guiding, and shaping enterprise solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Act as a bridge between business and technology , translating needs into scalable solutions
• Design and guide solution architectures across applications, APIs, and platforms
• Provide governance and oversight across development teams and vendor partners
• Cloud strategy ( Azure vs AWS )
• Architecture patterns
• Development approaches
• Establish consistency and best practices across enterprise solutions
• Partner with stakeholders to define and deliver business-aligned technology solutions
• Contribute to enterprise-wide architecture strategy and maturity

What You Bring

• 8–10+ years of experience , including:
• Strong development background earlier in your career
• 2+ years in Solution Architecture (flexible for strong candidates)
• Development teams
• Vendors
• End-to-end solution delivery
• Strategic (business-facing)
• Technical (design-focused)
• Experience in mid-to-large enterprise environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without authority

Technical Environment

• Cloud: Azure (primary)
• AWS (secondary)
• Nice to Have: Salesforce experience (highly valued)
• Exposure to multi-platform or enterprise standardization initiatives
• AI / modern development oversight exposure
