Credit Card and Electronic Payments Quality Assurance Tester



Work Location: Onsite with virtual meetings

Client: Montgomery County

Start Date: May 26 th

Overview

Montgomery County Government is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to support the Department of Finance in testing credit card and electronic payment systems during a major platform migration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test credit card and electronic payment systems including online, in-person, and IVR payments
  • Develop positive and negative test scenarios and test scripts
  • Document test results and defects using tools such as Visio, OneNote, and SnagIt
  • Provide feedback on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI)
  • Support reconciliation and reporting validation
  • Participate in daily standups and project meetings (virtual and in-person)
  • Assist with post go-live support and troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and county staff

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience with payment platforms such as Paymentus and Chase Merchant Services
  • Strong QA testing experience (functional, UX/UI testing)
  • Experience developing test cases and scripts
  • Ability to document defects and communicate with technical teams
  • Knowledge of payment lifecycle and reconciliation processes
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
Work Requirements
  • Work must be performed onsite at Montgomery County facilities
  • Must attend a daily 8:45 am team virtual check-in meeting and have video enabled (non-negotiable)
  • Participation in project management meetings that are remote and some in-person if required (non-negotiable). This may require visiting various Montgomery County business operations.
  • Background investigation required
  • Candidate may need to attend interviews (in-person or virtual)
