Job Description

Salary: $72,750 - 87,613 per year Requirements:

  • Proven experience in computer networking, including TCP/IP protocols such as DHCP and DNS; familiarity with VPNs and firewall configurations is essential.
  • Strong background in system administration across operating systems, including Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), and UNIX variants; experience with VMware ESXi or other virtualization platforms is required.
  • Hands-on knowledge of PACS administration within healthcare or imaging environments; understanding of medical imaging standards like DICOM is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting for automating tasks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Google for architecture solutions.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration; familiarity with DevOps tools, including Jenkins and Git repositories for version control.
  • Educational background in computer science or related fields; certifications in networking (CCNA/CCNP), system administration (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), or cloud certifications are preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities combined with excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively in an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance network architecture, including system, solution, and infrastructure designs to meet PACS and enterprise IT requirements.
  • Manage and configure network components, such as RAID controllers, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP servers, DNS services, load balancers, to ensure high availability and security.
  • Administer PACS systems by performing essential management tasks like system setup, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning within a service-oriented architecture framework.
  • Implement virtualization technologies using VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, and other cloud solutions like AWS and Azure for improved scalability and disaster recovery.
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to optimize operations in Linux, Windows, and UNIX environments.
  • Maintain database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server using T-SQL or PL/SQL for effective data management within PACS applications.
  • Ensure information security by configuring firewalls, managing VPN access controls, implementing RESTful API integrations for interoperability with third-party systems, and adhering to cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Git for continuous integration/delivery workflows.
  • Monitor system performance through load balancing techniques, troubleshoot network issues, manage backups, perform system upgrades, support virtualization environments, and ensure compliance with IT standards like DevOps practices.
