Job Description

An established law firm in Chesapeake is looking to add a Litigation Paralegal to their Personal Injury Team! Candidates who have two years of expeience in personal injury litigation are encouraged to apply! If you are interested in this role, please send your resume to [email protected]

salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Draft various pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests
• Request, follow up, and obtain medical records/bills related to client treatment
• Verify and document account balances with medical providers
• Review and summarize medical records
• Assist with trial preparation, including jury instructions, trial exhibits, subpoenas, etc.
• Manage court dockets and deadlines
• Draft settlement calculations and agreements
• Other administrative duties such as organizing case files, calendaring hearings, filing, etc.

• Litigation (2 years of experience is preferred)
