LTD Hospitality Group is seeking highly motivated, strategic individuals with an expertise in accounting. Our ideal candidates should exude a passion for the hospitality industry. The accounting specialist will provide accurate and timely accounting support for the assigned full service hotel.

  • Update daily accounting and business files.
  • Prepare Daily Deposits & deposit each day before 3:00 PM.
  • Reconcile credit card settlements and nightly batch processing.
  • Route all invoices to the General Manager for approval. Ensure account coding is accurate and all invoices are submitted to the Corporate Accounting office on a timely basis.
  • Post and apply all checks on property and keep an accurate check log compared to PMS.
  • Verify that purchasing procedures are followed to include review and audit of purchase order price compared to invoice price & purchase order quantity is accurate as compared to quantity received.
  • Ensure accuracy of the night audit reporting process.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable billing and collections to include applying credits and maintaining accuracy of all AR accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of month end accounting package for General Manager review and approval for submission to Corporate Accounting office on a timely basis.
  • Maintain an accurate log of all Tax Exempt Revenue and prepare month end report per LTD Management standard operating procedures.
  • Set up all Direct Bill accounts according to LTD Management standard operating procedures.
  • Verify all brand credits and point awards are posted and applied accurately.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements to ensure the Corporate Accounting office receives all inquiries & statements.
  • Comply with LTD Management Accounting financial policies and procedures.
  • Other and all duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by employee's manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and or ability required.

  • Basic booking knowledge preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel & Word
  • Proficiency in using a calculator
  • Data Entry proficiency
  • Must be dependable
  • Must be accurate with laser focus on details and follow up
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
