Job Description

CDL-A drivers based near Evansville running on this regional fleet typically average between 2,200 and 2,500 miles per week with home time every two weeks while hauling dry van freight across a stable North Central regional freight network. Drivers operating in the Evansville area move freight through established lanes across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin with consistent freight demand supported by long-term shipper partnerships. 

This account operates within approximately a 500-mile radius of Chicago and offers predictable regional routes with steady freight volumes.

Pay & Earnings

  • $0.56–$0.64 CPM depending on experience
  • Average weekly earnings $1,500–$1,600
  • Driver performance bonus available
  • $15 stop pay

Regional Freight Network

  • Dry van freight operating across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin
  • 100% no-touch freight
  • Combination of drop and hook, live load, and live unload freight
  • Freight network operates within a 500 mile radius of Chicago
  • Established delivery lanes with consistent freight demand

Home Time

  • Home every two weeks
  • Consistent regional scheduling

Equipment

  • Late-model Freightliner and Kenworth tractors
  • Automatic and 10-speed transmissions
  • Average tractor age approximately 1.5 years
  • Trucks permanently assigned to drivers
  • Many trucks equipped with inverter or APU

Entry-Level Driver Training

  • Drivers with little or no over-the-road experience may qualify for the entry-level training program.
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL
  • Must have completed at least 120 hours of CDL school training
  • 3–5 week paid training program with a company mentor
  • Training includes safety procedures, ELD compliance, trip planning, and company policies
  • Advancement to solo driving is performance-based

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A CDL required

  • Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening hair and urine
  • Drivers located within 500 miles of Manteno, Illinois are encouraged to apply.
