About us
We're a wholesale bread bakery in Germantown. Our bread shows up in restaurants, cafes, and markets across the region, from our Philly Muffin to our naturally leavened Citywide Sourdough. We blend craft with creativity and price our bread so people can actually afford to eat it every day.
We make the bread we want to eat and build the company we want to work at. People stay here. The music's good. You go home smelling like bread.
The work
You'll make bread. Scaling, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, whatever station needs you that day. You rotate through as you learn, building skills across the production floor.
Some days you're mixing doughs and managing temps. Some days you're shaping hundreds of loaves and keeping pace with the bench. Some days you're running ovens, managing proof times, and hitting consistent color and spec.
This is production baking. There's volume, there are deadlines, and the work is physical and repetitive. We're more farming than gardening. If you want to make beautiful things in small batches, this isn't it. If you want to make great bread at scale with a solid crew, keep reading.
The day only works when people communicate clearly, keep pace together, and help each other when things get tight. No one hides in a corner here.
What we expect
Show up on time and ready to work. Take coaching and get better. Own your station. Follow the recipe, hit the spec, keep it clean. Speak up when something's off. Help where you're needed. Treat your coworkers with respect.
The bread is the boss. It'll tell you what it needs, whether the dough is ready, if the proof is right, when the color's there, but you have to pay attention. We're looking for people with curiosity and sensory intelligence, not just people who follow steps.
You'll fit if you
Can handle physical work. Lifting 50 lbs, long shifts on your feet. Want to build real skill over time, not just punch a clock. Care about doing the same thing well, day after day.
Commercial baking experience helps, but we'll train the right person who learns fast and cares about the work.
